1. Business idea of the Week: Twitter Growth Buddy
Do you know what it takes to grow a Twitter following?
Thereâs a lot of things that help, but hereâs two that are a must:
Tweet consistency
Provide value in your tweets
Wouldnât it be nice to have a partner to keep you accountable to do the above?
Someone at your level thatâs growing their own Twitter followingâŠ
The idea: A Twitter Buddy service that connects two Twitter users with the same follower count, to partner up and build their Twitter audience. By connecting the two users, they will keep each other accountable to growing on Twitter, and have a friendly competition with each other.
Lotâs of people are trying to grow their Twitter following (like myself), so thereâs a big market for Twitter growth solutions.
Hereâs how it will work:
Sign up for the service.
Receive a warm intro to your Twitter growth âBuddyâ.
Set up bi-weekly calls with your buddy, and discuss what is working and what is not.
Keep your buddy accountable to tweeting everyday, and vice versa.
How to get started: This business is a service business, so you wonât need to worry about much tech. Set up a simple landing page that explains exactly what your service does.
Use Twitter to reach out to potential customers, and offer your service for free to get started. Once you have a few successful clients, and case studies to prove that your service works, you can start charging.
Charge an upfront-onetime fee to make the introduction, or a recurring monthly fee that comes with an introduction to a new buddy each month.
Things I like about this business:
Low start-up fees. Just need a landing page and cold outreach. â
Big audience with a real pain point (Twitter growth). đŠ»
Recurring monthly revenue. đ
Youâll get to meet a ton of cool people on Twitter!đ€
Let me know what you think!
2. How Much Money Was Spent on Prime Day.
Every year Amazon hosts a two day event called âPrime Dayâ where Prime customers can expect large discounts on products site wide.
This yearâs prime day fell on July 11th & 12th and broke another sales record.
So how much revenue was generated this year? $11.9 billion.
Crazy, right? Letâs take a look at how much that breaks down to per day, hour, and minute.
$5.95 billion / day
$248 million / hour
$4.1 million / minute
Did you buy anything this prime day? If so, tell me what you got in the comments!
3. I Bought an NFT
I believe that 99.5% of all NFTâs are absolutely worthless, but this week I bought one.
Could it go to zero? Absolutely. But I still think itâs cool.
Hereâs a quick background on the NFT project:
A bunch of big players in the crypto space put some money together and formed âWAGMI Unitedâ. WAGMI = âWeâre All Gonna Make Itâ
WAGMI United then used the money to buy Crawley Town FC, an English Football League 2 club.
The goal? Get Crawley Town FC to the English Premier League. Ted Lasso style.
WAGMI United has sold over $4 million worth of NFTâs to turn Crawley Town into the internetâs team.
So what does the NFT get you? Unfortunately you wonât get actual ownership of the team, but you do get voter rights for major decisions, and exclusive merch.
Check out the first club vote, taking place now:
The club acknowledges that the team wonât make it to the Premier League overnight, but theyâre committed for the long run.
So why did I buy? I think this project is cool.
Unlike most NFT projects, thereâs an actual asset behind this, and a story to follow.
Lets go Crawley Town!!
