🧠 A Backyard Office Pods Side Hustle
Apps built with the new GPT & we cloned an app and cold called a customer
1. Backyard Office Pods
This isn’t a new idea, but it’s a good one.
I’ve recently been looking at options for a “backyard office pod” recently.
Lot’s of people want these, but there seems to be a gap in the market between the $10K sheds, and the $100K+ mini homes.
And I love this idea because you could test market demand with $0.
Go to Facebook marketplace → create a listing of a photo with an office pod → see how much interest you get.
If you get a lot of interest, you can get serious about how to build these for people.
And then sell your first one before buying any materials.
Rinse and repeat!
2. Businesses to Build with the GPT 4o API
This week, OpenAI finally released the API to their GPT 4o model.
If you’ve been following along, GPT 4o is the model that’s making all of the crazy AI generated images.
And now that it’s available via API, it can be added to any app. Which means there are thousands of businesses that can be built on top of it.
Greg Isenberg tweeted out this list of 8 ideas that you can start building right now.
Some 2 other ideas I like:
Cartoon-ize yourself:Turn yourself into the Simpsons, family guy, lego, etc.)
Home service mockups: Tool that shows customers what a new bathroom, kitchen, etc. can look like.
The possibilities are endless, but this opportunity will only be available for a short period of time.
This is one of those opportunities that pays to be early.
3. We Cloned an App and Cold Called a Customer
This was a fun one.
We talked about an app idea, how to build it, and how to get customers.
Then we did it.
Built it in real time with Replit & cold called our first potential customer.
Check it out!
