1. Building an App with Cursor
OK, so this isn’t exactly a business idea. But I think this is going to change the future of software.
Cursor and Claude now allow non-technical people like myself to type what you want in plain english, and get your app coded for you.
This means if you’ve ever had an idea for an app and didn’t know how to get it done, there’s no more excuses.
Spend a day learning how to use Cursor, and the opportunities are limitless.
2. Mattress Returns
This one comes from my friend Ciaran who writes The 5-9 Formula.
I’ve looked into this side hustle in a past newsletter, and it’s legit.
Just sign up for the sites like Sharetown, wait until there’s a new mattress to be picked up near you → sell the mattress → split the profit.
It’s not a big business, but it’s a straightforward way to make an extra $2K+ per month.
3. Programmatic SEO Franchise
I love this idea from Chris Koerner on the startup ideas podcast.
Programatic SEO allows you to automatically generate landing pages for a ton of different areas.
For example, if you did gutter cleaning in Massachusetts, you’d generate a page for “Gutter cleaning in Boston”, “Gutter cleaning in Worcester”, “Gutter cleaning in Foxboro”, etc.
Having a dedicated landing page for each area helps you rank 1st in Google for each of those areas. But instead of actually running the service, what if you just built the websites, and then sold/franchised them out to business owners once they start generating leads?
All of the upside of the business, without the overhead of providing the service.
Bonus: Links I like.
