1. Concrete Pump Biz
I don’t know anything about the concrete biz, but this sounds great.
From a quick Google search, I think you can get a concrete trailer for around $5K. Or even better, rent one for the first few jobs.
Advertise on FB and Craigslist. Get your first job. Go buy or rent what you need.
Boom.
Six-fig biz.
2. GLG for X
Sam talked about using GLG on MFM this week.
It’s an expensive business intelligence service that can get you insights to help you make business decisions.
For example, suppose you wanted to figure out your competitor’s marketing strategy for the upcoming year. You’d pay GLG a few thousand bucks and they’d pay and interview an employee at that company to figure out their strategy.
You can then use that information to decide what your marketing strategy will look like.
But this has me thinking… what other big decisions would people pay for expert intelligence on?
Information on neighbors before buying a house?
Referral checks on an employee before making a hiring decision?
The more expensive the decision = the better.
Lots of opportunities to do GLG for X.
3. An On-Demand Handy Friend
r/maintenance is one of the fastest growing subreddits this week.
The page is a thread of people posting pictures of home projects or broken things around their houses, and asking for advice on what they should do.
And this is a pain point I can relate to. I recently bought a house and have tons of questions about how things work, how to fix things, and what things are called.
So what if you un-bundled this subreddit and turned it into a product?
An on-demand ‘handy friend’.
A service where you can snap a picture of something in your home, upload it, and get answers on what it is and how to fix it.
Bonus: Links I like.
