1. Business idea of the Week: Niche Lead Databases
Creating a business is hard.
There’s a million things to think about, but at the core of every business are 2 steps:
Offer a product or service
Find customers and sell it to them
Without customers, a business isn’t really a business.
But finding your ideal customer can take a lot of prospecting and isn’t always the best use of a business owner's time.
So, what if we could consistently provide business owners with a list of updated leads in their target market?
The idea: Create lead databases for niche businesses.
Put simply, we’re creating a list of potential customers and selling it to business owners.
This is a low-tech product that has the ability to scale like software.
Here’s an example of how something like this would work:
Let’s say you’re creating a database of leads for email marketing agencies that offer services to eCommerce companies.
You’d create an Airtable list of 100 eCommerce companies doing $10M-$50M/year. The database will include the company name, contact information, and other relevant company information.
You would then sell access to this table for $100/month, with the promise that you’ll update the list weekly with new info and new leads.
This would be super helpful to email marketing agencies because they’d have a full list of companies and contacts that are likely in need of their service.
So, how do I know something like this would work? Because Cyber Leads is already doing it!
Cyber leads offers a database of 1,000+ companies that just raised millions and are likely looking for outsourced services.
Cyber leads targets agencies to sell their leads to and offer 3 pricing tiers at $0/month, $197/month, and $1,997/month.
The founder shares his numbers on Twitter and says Cyber Leads generates $400K/year. (crazy for a 1-man business!)
How to get started:
Choose a niche to find leads for. (ex: eCommerce companies, service businesses, software companies, etc.). The deeper the niche the better!
Create your database (aka, your product). You can use tools like Airtable to host the table, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to prospect the leads.
Choose a hosting platform to sell access to your database. This could be your own website or a marketplace like GumRoad.
Find customers that want your leads. Decide what type of companies are looking for the leads in your database, and sell to them. Cold email, Twitter, LinkedIn… hit ‘em’ from every angle!
This is a product you can build once and sell twice, which means it’s the perfect model to scale.
Once you get a few customers, you can start outsourcing the prospecting to virtual assistants, turning this into an awesome lifestyle business.
And that’s a wrap!

Which investment would have given you a return of 560%+ over 10 years between 2011-2021?
The answer: The Invesco QQQ Trust ETF — a passive exchange traded fund (ETF) with a big weight towards technology companies.

3. How Much Money World Cup Teams Make
The World Cup officially came to an end today.
The final game was a nail-biter between France and Argentina and ended with Argentina taking the W in penalty kicks.
Congratulations to Argentina! But how much money did they make?
Let’s take a look at some of the numbers:
The tournament start’s out with 32 teams and the total prize pot is $440 million.
16 teams are eliminated at the group stage, and awarded $9 million, regardless of their performance.
8 teams are knocked out in the next stage and awarded $13 million.
4 teams are kicked out in the quarter-finals and are awarded $17 million.
4th place is awarded $25 million.
3rd place is awarded $27 million.
2nd place is awarded $30 million.
1st place is awarded $42 million.
It’s unclear how much each player is paid out of this cash, but considering the amount of money the players make during their regular season, this prize money is a small drop in the bucket…
