Whatās up party people! Weāre back with another side hustle idea!
Before we dive into todayās idea, letās connect on Twitter!
1. Business idea of the Week: A Done-For-You Family Beach Day Service
Last week I had dinner with some friends that have a newborn and a one-year-old.
Their kids are awesome, but they're also a lot of work.
They mentioned that getting the whole family out of the door can take over an hour, and packing up for a beach day is exhausting.
Not only do you need to remember everything for yourself, but you also everything that little kids will need over the course of a few hours.
Snacks, drinks, sunscreen, towels, chairs, toys, etc.
Itās a lot.
At the end of the conversation, my friend said⦠āIād easily pay over $100 to have everything packed and set up for meā.
And thatās where todayās side hustle idea was born
The idea: Create a service that sets up everything needed for a family day at the beach or park.
This service will take care of the setup and tear down of everything needed for a relaxing day at the beach or park.
No need to worry about grabbing all the kidās toys, beach chairs, snacks, etcā¦
They just need to show up and can leave when they want.
How to get started:
Since this is a service, we can get started with very little money.
Start with the basics. Get a few beach chairs, towels, kid toys, and anything else that would be needed for a typical day at the beach or park.
Chances are, you already have some of your own equipment that could be used.
You can build a basic website that allows customers to contact you using something like Carrd.
Your #1 goal is to get your 1 to 5 customers.
Post about your service in Facebook groups, Craigslist, and anywhere that gets your service in front of parents.
If you can impress your first few customers, they should tell their friends, and the customer flywheel will begin.
Monetizing: This is a service that can benefit from up-sells.
For example, you can make your base rate something like $99, and then charge for additional chairs, snacks, toys, etc.
Letās say your average customer spends $125, and you can find 4 customers every weekend (2 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday). This gets you to $2,000/month for a few hours of work each weekend.
Once you have more demand than you can handle, you can hire help for the setup.
And thatās when this side hustle turns into a real business.
Thatās a wrap!

How to Get a 55ā TV for Free
This week a new startup made news when they announced theyāll be giving away 500,000 free TVs.
The startup is called Telly, and the founder (Ilya Pozin) previously founded and sold Pluto TV.
But just like most free things in life, thereās a catch.
The free TVs will have a 2nd screen below the main screen, which will play ads 24/7.
This means that while youāre watching anything on your TV, youāll also have a consistent stream of ads shown underneath.
Additionally, youāll need to agree to share your data with Telly.
As a wise man once said: āIf you're not paying for the product, you are the productā.
Tellyās founder described it like this:
āFor too long, consumers have not been an equal part of the advertising value exchange. Companies are making billions of dollars from ads served on televisions, yet consumers have historically had to pay for both the TV and the content they watch. All of that changes today.ā - Ilya Pozin
You can claim your free TV by filling out your info on this website and downloading the Telly app.
What do you think about this idea?
Are you willing to see ads 24/7 for a free TV?
