1. Business idea of the Week: Flipping Products with Live Stream Selling
Live stream selling is the next big thing in e-commerce.
It allows you to interact with a live audience of buyers and makes the shopping experience feel more personal.
Apps like WhatNot allow you to reach a massive audience of buyers and run live auctions on products you’re selling.
The idea: Flip products with live stream selling on WhatNot.
People are making $1,000’s (and even 100’s of thousands) running live auctions on WhatNot.
This side hustle works by sourcing products like clothing at thrift stores or liquidation stores, and selling on live auctions for a profit.
This Twitter post talks about a guy buying clothing in bulk for $0.50 a piece, and flipping for $20-$30 in 15-second live auctions.
There are two main pieces to this side hustle: Sourcing and selling.
Sourcing:
Sourcing products at a low price is what makes this biz work. Here are a few places to look:
Thrift Stores and Garage Sales: Goldmines for unique and vintage items. Look for underpriced items that will have a high online resell value.
Retail Clearance Sales: Keep an eye out for clearance sales at retail stores.
Liquidators: This can be a brick-and-mortar liquidator store or online lots like Amazon returns.
Selling:
Create Your Account: Sign up on Whatnot and get familiar with the platform.
Start Small: You don’t need a huge inventory to start. Start with a few items to understand the process.
Engage Your Audience: Remember, live selling is about personality as much as it is about the products. Be personable, informative, and entertaining.
Like most social media platforms, the more time you spend creating on the platform, the more the algorithm will reward you.
If you’re serious about making this a big business, it is 100% possible.
And that’s a wrap!

3. Twitter Business Ideas
Usually, I scroll Twitter to find a bunch of business ideas and then comment on them in this section.
But this week is a bit different…
Greg Isenberg read through Pinterest’s 2024 Trend Report and wrote a thread on all of the business ideas hidden in the data.
And it’s awesome.
Let’s take a look 👇
Bodycare is awesome because it has the opportunity for recurring revenue.
This can be combined with another trend like animal-based lotions/deodorants.
I think this also includes things like saunas/ice baths that have seen a massive trend. Maybe an opportunity to be the top review Youtube/Blog for at-home ice baths and saunas?
This reminds me of the recent pickleball trend.
Just follow what the biggest pickleball companies are doing (newsletters, products, content, etc.) and do it for Badminton.
This one came as a pretty big surprise to me.
Fish tanks are an interesting category and have lots of active community members on forums.
I wrote a post on creating a fish tank cleaning service. Maybe there’s something there…🤔
