1. Business idea of the Week: Make $1K on SnapChat
Creators made millions on Snapchat last year.
I’m talkin’ big bags. 💰
Snapchat has been around for years, but as they push to compete with other platforms like TikTok and Instagram, they’ve committed to paying creators more.
And that sounds like opportunity to me…
I wanted to figure out how creators are making money on Snapchat, and if it’s realistic to start out as a beginner. So, here’s what I found.
The idea: Make money on Snapchat spotlight.
Snapchat Spotlight is Snapchat’s version of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. It’s a constant feed of short form videos that get pumped out to millions of viewers.
Just like other platforms, Snapchat will pay you for getting views on your short videos, but their model is a bit different.
Here’s the requirements to make money:
Account must be at least 1 month old & set to public
Must have >1,000 followers and at least 10,000 views in that month
Post at least 10 times on 5 different days in that month and use at least 5 Snapchat Creative Tools.
Content must be original
You must live in and post Snaps from an eligible country
So, you’re probably wondering… how do you get enough followers and views to meet the requirements? You post a lot.
Snapchat will push your content if it is entertaining and you post a lot. And once they push your content, you’ll start racking up followers.
If you stay consistent and choose an entertaining niche, it’s very realistic to hit the view and follower requirements in the first week.
Getting paid:
This part is interesting…
Snapchat recently changed their monetization structure to pay out an equal $1,000 to (almost) all creators that hit the minimums. According to snapchat, hitting the requirements makes you eligible to get the $1K/month, but not guaranteed.
However, from what I’ve read online, it looks like most creators that hit the requirements are getting paid the $1K. So might as well see for yourself. 🤷♂️
Making more than $1K:
Now, let’s talk the big bucks. It’s estimated that David Dobrik makes $10M a year from Snapchat, but he’s not making it from Spotlight.
Big creators make money from their snapchat story views, but this is much harder to do.
Here’s the requirements to make money with Snapchat stories:
Have at least 50,000 subscribers on your Public Profile
More than 25 million views or 12,000 hours of view time in the past 28 days
So, that’s gonna take some serious time and commitment.
But here’s what you can do.
Pick a niche to post about → post to daily on spotlight → meet 1K follower & 10K view requirements.
Stay consistent from there, and you just might be able to hit the story requirements to make the big bucks.
And that’s a wrap!

3. Twitter Business Ideas
I spent an hour scrolling Twitter trying to find business ideas.
Here’s a few I found. 👇
I think there will be a trend in “digital detox”.
People are addicted to their phones, and want to find a way to break the cycle.
Not sure this is the best idea in that niche, but i think that niche is a huge opportunity.
Not exactly a business idea… but this is definitely a growth hack.
One of the best ways to grow on social media is by getting the attention (and collaboration) of large creators.
And sometimes you’ve just gotta pay to play.
I think this is a joke, but actually not the worst idea. 😅
Instead of 1v1, I think a subscription service that provides early stage startups with mental health services for the entire time could work well.
Market it as "making your employees more productive”.
